I think the LA Fitness on Short Vine would probably be built to serve those living and working on the medical campus. Those people don’t really venture over to west campus too much and I would really doubt that they use the Rec Center, but I am still very cautious about this Short Vine proposal.

Leslie Ghiz seems to be posturing for a run for Hamilton County Commissioner, because she just cost herself at the City Council level…probably going from a probable to a bubble candidate.

The new med school building has a brand new fitness center and the east campus students also have access to the fitness center at Holmes hospital if that isn’t enough.

If you haven’t checked out the new med school building, I would suggest you do. It has glass walkways, and some big windows on the upper floors with great views of the city.

Yeah I need to check out that new space…haven’t had time yet. The other thing is that there is the Corryville Rec Center just a couple of blocks south from Stetson Square. There are definitely enough options out there, but I would assume that some kind of market study indicates a good business situation for LA Fitness there.

If I remember correctly, LA Fitness is trying to expand into the Cincinnati market. So, better an urban location than lots of suburban ones.
